Amouage, the revered Omani House of High Perfumery, has unveiled The Tent, a captivating boutique inside Harrods’ Salon de Parfums. This new opening embodies the essence of Omani hospitality—refined, warm, and poetic—translated into contemporary architectural form.

Designed in collaboration with Paris-based retail visionaries Héroïne, the space mirrors the serenity of a desert tent. Metallic drapes shimmer like wind-kissed fabric, leading visitors into a cocoon of mahogany, brushed aluminium, and red leather. Every curve flows organically—there are no sharp angles, only welcoming gestures.

A Sculptural Sanctuary in the Heart of Harrods

Guests are greeted with a cup of Omani coffee and dates—symbols of sincere welcome—before stepping into Amouage’s world of artistry and craftsmanship.

At the centre lies a circular consultation table that merges tradition and technology. Using Radio Frequency ID technology, guests interact with resin-cast shapes labelled with olfactory facets such as “rose”, “amber”, or “spicy”. Placing these on the table lights up corresponding perfumes along the display, offering an immersive, bespoke discovery of scent.

The four releases include:

• Guidance 46 Royal Drop – A modern take on rose, frankincense, and ambergris.

• Purpose 50 Royal Drop – Evokes the entire frankincense tree, from root to leaf.

• Reflection 45 Royal Drop – Refined lavender, orris, and sandalwood.

• Interlude 53 Royal Drop – Deep oregano, leather, and agarwood tones.

Each flacon is hand-blown by Dimitry Hlinka, finished with a 24-carat gold-plated cap, and housed within monumental coffrets crafted from frankincense wood.
