On Wednesday afternoon, I stepped onto a blue carpet for the exclusive preview of the Cetaphil SKINLABS Immersive Experience, ahead of its London launch this Saturday. The welcome set the tone beautifully: a champagne reception, warm hospitality, and even a brand-inspired café menu featuring drinks such as Berry Soothed Skin (Blueberry Matcha), A Latte Hydration and Ceta-Glow.

The Hydration Lab

My first stop was the Hydration Lab, where an on-site dermatologist tested my skin’s hydration levels before and after using Cetaphil’s iconic Moisturising Lotion. The results spoke volumes — my hydration leapt from 25% to 80% in just minutes. The space itself was designed like a futuristic science lab, complete with a running waterfall and interactive displays, all highlighting Cetaphil’s gentle yet effective formulations.

Immersive Design & Event Space

The space itself was a visual treat. Imagine lifesize bottles of Cetaphil’s new Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser and Lotion, paired with a waterfall feature that brought the whole experience to life. It was immersive, innovative, and undeniably Instagram-worthy.

A Brand Rooted in Science and Simplicity

Cetaphil has been a trusted skincare brand since 1947, becoming the No.1 Dermatologist Recommended Cleansing Brand in the UK. Known for stripped-back, effective ingredients that work for even the most sensitive skin, the brand has built its reputation on hydration-boosting Glycerin, restoring Niacinamide, and soothing Panthenol — all fragrance-free and kind to the skin barrier.

The event showcased the new Gentle Exfoliating Range, powered by a triple acid blend: Mandelic Acid to encourage cell turnover, Gluconolactone to gently exfoliate while locking in moisture, and Salicylic Acid to clear pores. Dermatologist Dr Daniel, who worked on the clinical trials, explained: “Cetaphil offers a range of products depending on how sensitive your skin is.”

Expert Insights and Personal Touches

Throughout the event, dermatologists shared advice on managing sensitive skin, with Dr Emma noting: “For me as a dermatologist, it’s a brand that’s quite safe to recommend to people when they come with irritation or eczema, so it’s definitely a good go-to brand.”

Downstairs, guests could enjoy a one-to-one consultation, receive a personalised product card, and indulge in a soothing hand massage with Cetaphil’s Moisturising range. Before leaving, everyone was treated to a wash bag of miniatures, personalised by an on-site calligrapher, along with a branded tote goody bag containing Phizz multivitamins and a full-sized Gentle Skin Cleanser.
